\nPlagarism has been a problem for example,on a secondary and post graduate school level since inception of these institutions. Imagine how much easier it is now with the teachnology we have available at our finger tips- literally?

\nI also think this topic is a large one- I anticipate narrowing our focus to college papers, middle school facts, online universities and\/or work place plagarism will be a challenge.

\nThe relationship between technology and plagiarism and\/or cheating.
\n
\nDue to the advancement of technology, this is will be a good subject to discuss. For example, in watching CSI:NY on Friday, they showed a form of cheating. One of the students at an elite high school in New York created a cheat sheet as a water bottle! This was a very ingenious way to create a cheat sheet and a form of cheating that would not be possible without the current technology today.
\n
\nThe Internet and smart phones also give students the ability to cheat by using Google or other search engines to find answers to questions. The smart phones that students use also give the ability to cheat via Instant Messenger, e-mail and other forms of communication. Finally, some online universities have procedures in place where there are proctors who watch the students take online exams to prevent cheating while taking an exam in their home by using web cams.

\nAs Kathleen indicated, I find this subject will need to be narrowed down to a specific area in education (middle and high school or higher education). There is a lot of information availabe regarding this subject and I look forward to the challenge to address this issue.
